Narrative Games-Camp: A BarCamp for Game Design, Narrative Design, and Game Development
Connect with other game developers and help shape the program yourself: The Narrative Games Camp will bring the community together in Leipzig on June 20, 2026.
On Saturday, June 20, 2026, the Narranauten will host the Narrative Games-Camp for the second time. This BarCamp is aimed at anyone interested in game design, narrative design, and game development. The event kicks off at 9:30 AM at the “Kanal 28” Youth Center in Leipzig-Lindenau.
What is it all about? Game developers specializing in game design and narrative design are invited to share their knowledge and experiences with other attendees through talks, discussion rounds, workshops, or other formats.
Whether spontaneous or prepared — be it a philosophical discourse or a polished presentation — whether you have a burning question, want to bring something along for others to try out, or simply want to rant (or chat) about a trend in the games industry: everyone gets a chance to speak here. That’s the BarCamp spirit!
At a BarCamp, all formats are welcome. The group itself decides the program on the day of the event. You will pitch your ideas in the morning, and those that spark interest will be assigned a time slot. This is how the day’s schedule takes shape. Attendees are then free to choose which sessions they wish to attend or participate in, and when and where they do so.
Generally speaking, you don’t need to bring anything to the Narrative Games-Camp; however, if you require a laptop for a presentation, or demonstration materials such as consoles, games, etc., please feel free to bring them along. Pens, paper, and whiteboards will be provided.
By the way: Refreshments are also taken care of! Coffee, tea, and snacks will be available to you throughout the entire day. At lunchtime, a buffet will be served featuring meat-based, vegetarian, and vegan options.

It’s also the perfect time to get any questions you might have about the BarCamp format answered. The event kicks off at 7:00 PM; the specific venue will be announced shortly.
Want to join us for Dev & Dine? Then please register with the Narranauten via email or Discord by June 5, 2026 — this ensures the organizers can make appropriate reservations based on the headcount.
