Next Level: Saxony! brings four Leipzig game projects to Games Ground 2026

Four Leipzig-based games companies will have the chance to present their projects at Games Ground 2026 in Berlin this November. Through the “Next Level: Saxony!” call, four companies will be selected for a spot at the festival’s Indie Island.

The call is open to companies, start-ups, freelancers and initiatives based in Leipzig and active in the IT or games sector. Eligible projects must have reached at least the Alpha stage and be playable. The selected teams will receive a fully equipped booth with hardware, individual project branding and two additional partner tickets. Participation fees are covered by Leipzig’s Economic Development Office.

Applications are open until September 21, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. A jury made up of Games & XR Mitteldeutschland, R42, MDM, Leipziger Messe and Leipzig’s Economic Development Office will select the four projects.

Games Ground takes place from November 5–8, 2026, at Alte Münze in Berlin. For the selected teams, the event offers an opportunity to showcase their projects to a wider audience, connect with new industry partners and represent Leipzig as a games location beyond the region.
